Founders Day 2006 a Great Success! |

 The 2006 Founders Day festivities have come and gone, and by all accounts the day was a resounding success!
We were fortunate enough to have Ruritan National Executive Director Michael Chrisley, Ruritan National President Joe Pancione and Ruritan National Vice President Jimmy Bristow on hand for the event, as well as a number of other dignitaties from Ruritan Clubs and Districts all over the country. We were also very honored by the large representation from both the state and local government levels.
The Hickory Ruritan Club took top honors in our first ever Ruritan Barbeque Competition, taking the People's Choice and First Place for Pork BBQ. The Holy Neck Club took first place for Chicken BBQ.
Congratulations also go to the Southampton High School Band for taking first place in the Band Performances.
